45 Minute Inqury

Curling is a sport in a team of four. There is one player who is the curler and they slide the stone ('Rock') over the ice which is called a curling sheet. The two other players, depending on the rules it can be two to three, sweep in front to either speed it up or slow it down. Curling is an olympic sport. The aim is to get the most points. sport, and like most other sports it is timed. The  target that they try to get it to is called a house. It is a curricular target and you have to try to get as many of the eight stones into it's center. In this photo it is NZ vs China. The stone or rock is a polished granite stone that is very heavy.
